Asylum charity express disappointment over deportation court ruling

Human Rights activists and leaders of South Yorkshire's Migration and Asylum Action Group have expressed their disappointment after UK's high court ruled on Monday, the government's plan to send Asylum Seekers to Rwanda is "lawful." The court ruled that the scheme did not breach the United Nation's Refugee Convention or human rights laws.

Stab victim's family expresses disappointment but accepts court's decision

The mother of a young black man who was brutally stabbed to death while distributing church leaflets by a white racist in Sheffield city centre has told African Voices Platform, she and her family have accepted the court's decision to sentence her son’s killer under the mental health act 1983.

Speaking to Baillor Jalloh, Mart Koroma said: “Yes I welcome the decision. On behalf of my family, we all welcome it, although we are a bit disappointed because it’s a painful death and it’s a racial issue, but we don’t have a choice.”
